Our Story

Kraftgurus is born out of the passion for everything handmade. Our founder believes making by hand and consuming handmade is an essential part of being human. The inspiration for Kraftgurus comes from her love for her country, its handmade heritage and the need to share that with the world.

Kraftgurus founder hails from India, a land that is celebrated for its joie de vivre, even in its most mundane. In February 2020 she was preparing to launch her tourism business, when Covid19 emerged as a global pandemic. Illness, death, travel restrictions dominated the news due to which mental health, yoga and mindfulness became the buzz words. However, her collaborators, the prize-winning artists from India, were in financial distress. Taking cue from the saying, ‘Never waste a good crisis’, she quickly transformed her tourism business into an online learning platform. KraftGurus was born.
